The Claps family have been producing oil for four generations. The founder of the family, Dr Giuseppe De Petrocellis, although a medical practitioner was always passionate about farming. His daughter, Rosa, married Mario Claps, an engineer who was also passionate about farming but also about producing olive oil. The olive business and farm was passed on to Mario’s son, Francesco, an agronomist who has recently left everything in the hands of his son, Mario Giueseppe.
